ボーナス！先週の出来事から.../BONUS! from last week...

とっても知りたがりでうろうろしたいマディソンの活動範囲を狭くする為にたまに寝室とトイレの戸を閉めておくんだけど、寝室にある枕の上でお昼寝するのが好きなエリーは戸が閉まっていてがっかり...諦めきれずエリー必殺“後ろ足で立って前足で押す”をしたんだけど、トイレの戸とは違って全くびくともしない結果...その様子を見ていたマディソンは爆笑...：）
Sometimes we close out bedroom door so that Madison won't go exploring and stay in the living room but Ellie likes to snooze on her pillow in our bedroom so she is trying to get in there... She is trying her old stand on her back legs and push trick that usually works on our bathroom door but this door is really shut so it's not working out and Madison is getting a really good laugh from her trying...:-)

先週、たまたまブラックアイドピーズの歌を聴いていたらマディソンは踊らずにはいられなかったみたい！早速フリップで録画開始：）ピボットしながら回っているのが良いよね！
I was listening to One Tribe by Black Eyed Peas the other day and Madison started dancing as usual so I got it on Flip! She got one of the dancing techniques... Pivoting!

木曜日はと〜っても良い天気でちょうどセントラルパークでミートアップの日。今回は５組のママと赤ちゃんで大賑わい！みんな歳が近いから一緒に遊ぶ事が出来ました：）
On Thursday we had a beautiful day and it was a Meet Up day in Central Park Playground and this was a big turn out with 5 Moms and their Babies! All the babies are really similar in age so it was quite fun:-)

その日にたまたまユニオンスクエアの学校まで会議に行かなきゃいけなかったパパとセントラルパークで待ち合わせをする事が出来ました。マディソンは丁度バガブーでお昼寝を始めちゃったから家に帰る前にセントラルパーク動物園に寄って行く事に...　天気が良かったせいか活発に活動していたアザラシがキスしてる所を写真に撮る事に成功！日本の雪猿も忙しそうに動き回っていたよ。
Today Dave had to go to a school in Union Square for the day for a meeting so he was able to meet us at the park as Madison started her nap in the bugaboo... SO instead of going home we headed to Central Park Zoo for some animal watching... We got really cute picture of Seals kissing and Snow Monkey from Japan.

記録として言っとくけど.../Let the Record show that...

今朝マディソンを連れて引っ越しように使えるダンボールを何軒かのお店まで貰いに行く為に準備をしていた時の事です。ふと、真下でエリーとココの洋服棚をあさっていたマディソンを見ると、何とスウェディッシュフィッシュっていうデイブの大好きな赤い魚の形をしたグミがマディソンの口からはみ出しているのを発見...ずーっと前にいつも一気に食べ過ぎるデイブから隠そうとエリー達の洋服棚に入れてあったのをすっかり忘れてました！慌てて取り上げたけど甘くて美味しかったのかちょっとニヤってしていたからもう手遅れかもしれない...パパのようにこの変な虫歯の元のグミにはまらなければいいんだけど...困った、困った...
This morning I was getting ready to go to Bed, Bath & Beyond with Madison to pick up some empty boxes, when I looked down from my little make up stand I saw Madison sitting on the floor on between my legs and tasting her first Swedish Fish... Yup, she did it! She found an opened bag of Swedish Fish that I hid a while ago(and forgot about) in order to stop Dave from eating too much at once inside Bean's Closet Shelf... The Big Fishy didn't stay in her mouth too long but she definitely got the taste of it! I just hope she won't turn out to be a Swedisaholic like her Daddy...

入れちゃいけないのに口に入っていたと言えば、先週もう一つあったなー。デイブの学校の野球試合を見にレッドフックって言う所に行った時、のんびりと家族３人で敷物に座って野球観戦中、ふと静かにしていたマディソンを見るとおやつにと家から持って来た手作りのクッキーが入ったジップロックの袋を嬉しそうに丸ごと齧り中...よく見ると袋の中が何となく濡れてる！？うそっ！穴空けて実はクッキー食べてるんじゃん！慌てて取り上げたけど、卵が入っているからあと一ヶ月待っててくれたら良かったのに...でもアレルギーとか全然出なかったからちょっと安心：）
Oh talking about getting hands on inappropriate things, it happened when we were at Dave's school's baseball game last week in Red Hook(where IKEA is). We were enjoying the game on a blanket and Madison was behaving well while playing with a bag of cookies I brought from home... Well, her pretty baby teeth had made a nice size hole at some point while she was chewing the bag so she was secretly getting bits of cookies into her mouth!! Now that's why she was quiet and happy... Yeah cookies are yummy but she didn't have to know that yet... at least another month or so. I was worried because I put eggs in the cookies but she didn't seem to get any bad reaction from consuming the tiny amount of egg so I think we are okay... Sigh!

最近ちょくちょくブログを書いてないのでいつもいんな出来事が一つのブログに込み合ってしまっているけど、フリップビデオ(今日届くはず)が届けばちょくちょく書けるようになると思うので乞うご期待！
I don't write posts often enough lately that I always have to write a lot of incidents in one big chunk... Oh well I will get better once my Flip Video arrives(which is today, Yay!).

他にあった出来事と言えば、先週マサキ君とアキコさんの家でプレイグループをした事かな...やっぱりもう何回も会っているせいか赤ちゃん達は人見知り無しで仲良く遊んでくれてました。まだ新しいカメラが無かったから写真は全然撮らなかったんだけどアイフォンで撮った写真で我慢してね...
So another thing that happened... We had a playgroup last week at Masaki-kun and Akiko-san's apartment and as usual we had a great time:-) I really think that babies are really comfortable with each other and played really well... Since I didn't have my new camera then I didn't get to take many pictures at the playgroup... Here is a few that I took on my iphone...

そして水曜日に天気が良かったのでホールフーズでマディソンとランチをしながらセントラルぱークでのんびりして来ました。デイブも学校まで自転車で行かなかったから学校が終わった後ママとマディソンと公園で待ち合わせして、家族３人でセントラルパーク動物園に行って来ました。やっぱりニューヨーク大好き...マディソンがランチの後バガブーで寝っちゃったから公園に着いた後敷物に座ってのんびり出来たんだけど、そこからの景色の写真を撮りながらどれだけここが大好きか実感しちゃいました。ここって私に合うんだよね〜。引っ越しは楽しみだけどそれと同時に心配...日本から来てまず最初に来た所がオクラホマで本当に良かったー。あの何も無いつまんない州...もしニューヨークからオクラホマに行かなきゃいけなかったら頭おかしくなっちゃってたかも...まず最初にオクラホマでデイブに会ったり、いっぱい友達を作ったり、大学に行ったり、デイブと結婚式を挙げれてラリーに引っ越しても絶対ニューヨークが恋しくなるけどその度にデイブがここに住みたくない理由(駐車場探すのが大変、税が高い、家賃が高い、７電車がいつも壊れる）を思い出させてくれるはず：）
また来週ねセントラルパーク！

Then on Wednesday Madison and I had a lovely lunch at Whole Foods and relaxing afternoon at Central Park... Since Dave didn't ride his bike to school he was able to meet us at Central Park Zoo after school which was a bonus to a perfect day out in the city... Madison fell asleep on the way to the Sheep Meadow from Whole Foods so once we got there I was able to sit on the blanket and take a few pictures of the park with buildings in the background and just think how much I am going to miss this city... Yup, I'm getting not wedding blues but moving blues... I LOVE NYC and it fits me perfectly that I'm excited to move but scared at the same time... I am so thankful that I first moved to Oklahoma from Japan then to New York... I could not have done it the other way around, no chance! There is nothing to do there and I would have gone crazy!! I mean I'm so glad that I met Dave, made lots of friends, went to school, and had our wedding... but I do not fit into Oklahoma. I think I lost some of my valuable OK readers(if they had kept on reading) right about now... Sorry, but that's the truth... Anyways, my point is that I'm going to miss this city SO MUCH! but every time I do, I will be counting on my lovely hubby to point out all the cons of living in the city... Stupid Parking System, High Tax, High Rent, Annoying 7 Train...

５番街を歩いて.../Walking up on 5th Ave...

週末にちょっと風邪気味だったマディソンだけど昨日の夜やっと夜泣きせず寝れて鼻水も止まったみたい...そして今日は天気が良さそうだったからマンハッタン迄行って５番街を歩きながらクリスマスショッピングをして来ました。行く時にタクシーに乗ったら渋滞に巻き込まれちゃってちょっと時間がかかっちゃったけど無事にコーチのお店に到着。デイブからの誕生日プレゼント(小さいヒョウ柄のバッグ)を選んでおまけのもう一つ定期入れみたいなクレジットカードが入る紫色のも...ありがとデイブ：）その後はせっかく３割引のクーポンがあったからジューシーのお店に行ってうろうろしたんだけど結局何も見つかりませんでした：(そしてギャップのお店で授乳休憩をしながらマディソン用に何か可愛い服が入っているか見た後、ディズニーのお店にも寄って河西家用のクリスマスプレゼントを探しました。何を買ったかはそっちに届いてからのお楽しみ！その後はせんトラル公園の動物園に寄って丁度始まったベンギンの餌付けを観る事が出来ました！マディソンも可愛いペンギン達がとても気に入ったみたい...また来なきゃ！
This weekend Madison got a bit of a cold, runny nose and a bit of fever and sweating so none of us got to sleep well and just fyi I was feeling the similar symptoms as Madison so even though we made it to the Church building on Sunday morning we had to turn around and go home when Madison was soaking wet from sweating so much in her car seat... Anyways, she slept through the night last night and was looking good this morning so I decided to go do some Xmas shopping on 5th ave today. I decided to take a cab as it's very easy to catch one right outside of our duplex. Our first stop was at Pret A Manger to get an iced coffee to drink while shopping and a sandwich to eat later... Then we walked over to Coach on 57th and got to pick out my birthday gifts from my sweet husband. Our next stop was at Juicy Couture store since I had 30% off total purchase coupon I was hoping to find something for my sister Asuka but couldn't decide on one thing so let's see if I can make up my mind by the 18th which is the last day for 30% off. We quickly stopped at Gap for nursing Madison and got to help a grand-ma who was buying a gift for her grand daughter who will be turning 1 in May and not sure of what size to get . After that we were off to the World of Disney store to find something for my other sister Sayaka's family who are huge Disney fans. I got something, but not enough so I will probably have to take another trip before Xmas, but I found my nephew a really cute pair of pajamas with an "I (mickey heart) NY" logo. Madison fell asleep while at the Disney Store so we walked over to the Central Park Zoo as planned and when we got there it was 2:31 and I noticed they were feeding the penguins at 2:30 so we raced straight to the building, but Madison was sleeping so after watching for a little while I decided to go outside and eat my sandwich and then when Madison woke up we went back in to see the penguins, who were still being fed, and Madison really enjoyed it. I had planned on walking over to Whole Foods for some Vegan chocolate chip cookies, but it was getting a little chilly so we headed for the subway to go home and rest after our fun-filled shopping day.

Coco was worn out just hearing about the day.
