Duck Pond and Picnic in a park...

On last Thursday morning Liam's mom, Jacqeline picked us up and we were off to a big park in Cerritos about 30 minutes away... We decided to go there because people are allowed to feed the ducks and who doesn't love feeding ducks!? It was first time for Madison to feed ducks and I thought she would be scared at first but I could only get excitement from her...:-) Hopefully next time she will maybe consider giving them much smaller bites...

And today she let me put on a hat on her head and she actually kept it on for a long time which is something because she HATES hats!

This slide was all dark inside so I really didn't think she will go for it but she did AND loved it! So for like 5 minutes straight she kept going up and sliding down... Thanks for the 5 minute break!

When we were about to leave after lunch I realized I didn't take any pictures of them together so we quickly sat them together at the top of a double slide...:-)
Liam is a belly slider, Madison is laughing at her friend sliding backwards:-)
Aren't they so cute together~:-)

Day in the City with Gma and Gpa

On Wednesday my Mom and Dad drove down to the city to pick us up and bring us to CT, but not before we spent one more fun-filled day in the big city...

While Anna was getting her yearly hair done at Shizen Japanese Salon in the East Village, Mom, Dad and I took Madison to a local park...

Gma enjoyed pretending to put Madison's hood up while swinging her...
Madison enjoyed it too...
A black squirrel enjoyed the banana peels Gpa threw...
Madison waves to her fans as she waits patiently for Mommy to finish...
She also had time to brush up on her reading...
Mommy in action...

The finished product...A sneak photo of Anna and her new hairdo...After Mommy was done we headed up town to visit the official Santa at Macy's in Herald Square...

The line looked menacingly long, but we were assured it would only take a half hour...it was then I knew that Macy's must have like twenty secret Santa's and I was RIGHT!!!

They really do a great job of hiding it though...first everyone weaves through Santa's Northpole hideout...
Madison was happy to arrive...it wouldn't last :-)

We weaved through elaborately decorated trees and even Santa's sleigh...

Then it was time to be ushered into our stable like horses getting in the gate...it was smoothly done, not a hint of all the other Santa's that encircled us as we prepared to meet our big red guy...

All it took was one glimpse and even sitting on my lap Madison was a goner...this probably violates some sort of copyright laws, but you pay so much for the pictures we just have to share Madison's first official visit to Santa...
And the aftermath...
Scarred for life...I'm certain!!

After her visit to Santa Madison was ready to say goodbye to NYC...

So we hit the train back to Sunnyside where Gma and Gpa had parked...
And it was off to CT for more Christmas fun!!

Same Birthday...

On Thursday we met up with Sayaka and Kouki for lunch at a near by park... It's about a 15 minute walk from my parents' house and it was just such nice weather to be out in. When we got there Sayaka and Kouki were not there yet and I didn't have the time so I asked a mom that was there, well she had a baby boy with her and how he was walking looked similar to Madison so I asked her for his age and she said 13 month... so I said my daughter is 13 month also, she was born May 1st... You know where I'm going right? She then told me his birthday is also May 1st!! How crazy!! Madison's first same exact birthday baby!! Well maybe half exact birthday when you have to think about the time differences but no biggie, it was just cool!

That's when Sayaka and Kouki showed up with lunch so we went our separate way but I do believe I got a picture of him for the record... just right before Madison took a bad bouncy fall on her face in front of me!

After lunch Kouki played in the fake stream while Madison watched and headed out to Uniqlo for Madison and me! I got to find some cute leggings and a simple cute hoddie of which I'm gonna decorate later for Madison so all in all it was a pretty nice day...

Park!

Today we took a quick trip to Whole Foods to get some organic fruits, veggies, and meats for Madison and when we were walking home on the sunny side of the street it felt warm and nice so after lunch we bundled up once again and walked two blocks to the park for the first time this winter...I put shoes on Madison so we could practice walking but when we got to the park the park ranger lady told me one of my baby's shoes is missing... so then even though the park was right there in front of us we had to back track all the way to our apartment looking for her missing shoe! Of course the shoe was laying on our living room floor, Ugh! I wish I would have noticed it! So we started again and got to the park to practice walking a bit (no pictures since I could not take pictures and hold her hands at the same time...) We even went on a swing! She wasn't sure at first, but then she warmed up and started to enjoy it so I took some pictures... She has her paci so it's hard to tell, but she was smiling:-)
