Snow Day Number Two!!/雪の日第二話

In 7 years NYC had two snow days...now in the span of three weeks we have had two snow days...yippee!! This storm turned out to be the 4th largest in NYC history dumping 21" in Central Park.
ニューヨークでは過去７年に雪で学校が閉鎖されたのは２回だけ...そして３週間前と今日の学校閉鎖と短い間にもう２日も学校休み!!そして今回の大雪は過去で４番目に大きい５３センチ。

Mommy, who self-disclosed she enjoys shoveling snow, went out to "have fun."
雪掻きが好きって自分から車をきれいにしに行ったママ。

After a little while, Madison and I joined her and we all had fun together on the little snow hill mommy made out of a snow mound. Smart daddy brought an empty laundry basket as her sled:-)
少し経った後マディソンと一緒に外に出て、ママが造ってくれた雪の丘を使ってそり滑りをすることに。ソリが無いから頭の良いパパはバスケット持参：）

Madison I think was more stunned by this new activity then anything else.
新しい経験に言葉も出ないマディソン。

SNOW DAY!!/大雪の休日

Today was my second snow day in two years as NYC got, and continues to be, buried in nearly a foot of snow! It was perfect timing as it has been a long week for Mommy with Madison's upper teeth coming in and her crabbiness and activeness at near peak level. It was nice to be able to double team her today and each get a chance to rest.
今日は過去２年間で２回目の大雪の学校閉鎖、３０cmの雪に埋もれました！上の歯が出て来ているマディソンのイライラと動きたい放題で大変な１週間になりそうだったママには丁度良い休みの日。交代でマディソンと遊んだりオムツを替えたりしてちょっとのんびり出来てよかった〜。

夜６時...まだまだ降ってる。

Another nice surprise was a Valentine Package from Grandpa and Grandma Klein that Madison enjoyed eating. She also enjoyed pulling on the sheep's wool in her touch and feel book just like she tries to do with Ellie and Coco who are luckily fast enough to avoid her.
そして他にあった良い事と言えば、クラインお爺ちゃんとお婆ちゃんからバレンタインのプレゼントがマディソンに届いた事。包み紙を齧った後プレゼントの一つの触れる本の羊の毛を引っ張ったりしてました。エリーとココの髪を引っ張ろうとするけど、やっぱりこの２匹はすばやいからいつも逃げられちゃうんです。





I braved the elements to walk the block to our local market and pick-up all the necessities for smores and Anna made very successful city smores using our toaster oven...they were yummy!
雪が降っている中近くのお店までおつかいに。トースターでと〜っても美味しいスモアを作るのに成功...おいしかった〜！

We leave you this snowy Wednesday with yet another picture of Madison pulling herself up on an object...this time its the toilet...it is amazing how many things are at her level that she can use to prop herself up on...the bathtub, the couch, the storage unit, the bag of dog food, her toys, etc...even the couple of nasty falls hasn't slowed her down a bit.
最後にマディソンのタッチしている写真...今回はトイレを使ってタッチ...マディソンが掴まり立ち出来る物がいっぱいでビックリ、バスタブ、ソファ、犬のえさ袋、おもちゃといろいろ...何回かドテーっと転んでいるのに頑張って毎日タッチしてます。
