マディソンの初めてのセルティックスゲーム!/Madison's 1st Celtics Game! and more!

今日はとっても忙しいでも楽しい土曜日でした：）まず朝起きて直ぐ教会の友達のブライアンとダニエルのマラソンの応援に行きました。今日ブラインは５キロマラソンをダッシュする事になっていたんです。なぜかと言うと、この夏にある160キロマラソンに挑戦するんだけど、その準備として今のトレーニングが５キロマラソンをなるべく早く走らなければいけないらしい...そしてダニエルは私とデイヴが来年挑戦したいと思っているリバーストライアスロンに挑戦です。それは５キロマラソンと１２キロ自転車と２００m水泳の競技。残念ながら車の渋滞でブライアンが２等賞を取ったのは見れなかったんだけど、ダニエルのレースは応援バッチリ：）このマラソン大会は空軍基地で行われたんだけど、いっぱい止まっている飛行機とか好きなだけ走り回れる空間をマディソン気に入るかなーと思っていたら、パパにくっ付きっぱなし!せっかくの週末でパパと一日中居られるから甘えてたのかも...：）
Today was one fun filled Saturday for us:-) Our Saturday started off with me mentioning to Dave that we need to go cheer two of our friends from church, Brian and Daniel, with their "Race on the Base." Brian was planning to sprint the 5K as he prepares for a 100Mile race later this summer and his brother Daniel was participating in the reverse mini-triathlon that Dave and I would like to try next year. It is a 5K run, 12 mile bike and 4 lap swim. It took Daniel about an hour to complete which put him in the top 20 of probably 200 or more competitors. It was fun to see them compete (although we missed Brian's race where he got 2nd due to traffic getting on to the army base). We thought Madison would enjoy all the military planes that are parked around and the big open space that she can run around in, but all she did was either cling to Daddy or sit in her bugaboo... I guess she is trying to savor the precious time she has with Daddy on the weekends...:-)

とっても良いスタートを切ったダニエルだけど、こんなに強風の中で走るなんて信じられる？その上自転車レースなんてもっと最悪！次の日、ダニエルとブライアンは日に焼けたのかと思ったら風焼けをしていた！
Daniel had a great start and can you imagine racing in this wind!? It was sooo windy that both Daniel and Brian had "Wind Burn" on their faces the next day!

水泳は他の競技と違ってあっという間に居なくなっちゃわないから見てておもしろかった；）
Swim part was really fun to watch because he won't kamikaze pass you like before;-)
Although he did pass about five people...






最初は大勢過ぎ!?見たいな顔をしていたマディソンだけど、ケイラにハイファイブのお手本を見せてもらって自分でも試したくなったみたい!
Madison is warming up to so many people running by her... Kayla showed her how to high five the runners and she really got into it!

マラソンの後家に帰ってマディソンとパパが長〜いお昼寝をしている間私はジュリー＆ジュリアを見る事ができました：）そして、ダウンタウンLAにあるステイプルズセンターにセルティックスゲ−ムを観戦しに出発進行！思っていた以上にすごいゲーム...相手のチームは若いプレーヤーがたくさんいるから面白い事してくれるし、ブレークグリフィンって言うすごいルーキーがいるんです。何回か凄いダンクをされちゃったけど最後に勝てれば全然オッケー：）そしてとてもビックリしたのはセルティックスのファンが思っていた以上に居た事です。私達が座っていた辺りはほとんんどが緑色！横に居た酔っぱらいのお兄ちゃんに家族写真を撮ってもらったりマディソンはフィストバンプを教えてもらっちゃったり、まあセルティックスファンだからいっか〜：）最後の５分を残して寝てしまったマディソン、セルティックスの勝利が決まって安心したのかな、とっても可愛かったんだけど写真撮るのすっかり忘れてました！このゲームはクライン家の伝統行事の一つに決定です！！
After the races it was noon and Madison and Daddy took lengthy naps and I got to watch Julie & Julia on Netflix:-) Then we headed out to Downtown L.A. and the Staples Center for the Celtics vs Clippers game. It had everything we could have hoped for in a game. Blake Griffin made some awesome dunks and the Celtics came back and won!! It was unbelievable how many Celtics fans were there. The whole upper row that we were in was all Celtics fans. The people next to us (who had had a few brewskis) thought Madison was pretty cute and even taught her how to "Fist Bump" and took a family picture for us, Madison did such an awesome job! She sat on Daddy's lap the whole time and seemed to really enjoy the game. She fell asleep once the Celtics had wrapped it up with just about five minutes to go in the game...she was super cute!!! Just like everything else we seem to do, we are totally making the Celtics/Clippers game our annual tradition!!

Before we headed out I suggested we take a nice family picture since we usually forget to ask someone to take one at the game... Well this one didn't go so well... A nose picking girl and an alien dog...:-)

Better! We wanted Ellie to come back up but apparently we hurt her feelings...
入場まで１０分ぐらい外で待たなきゃいけなかったんだけど、沢山の緑に囲まれてホームゲ−ムに来ているみたい...：）
We had to stand outside for about 10 minutes but we were surrounded by tons and tons of Celtics fans and we felt right at home...:-)
マックに行かなくなってここ７ヶ月でもパパのせいで記録更新ならず...
Daddy broke our record of not eating McDonald's tonight... 7 months... We were doing soooo good:-(

At first Madison wanted nothing to do with our neighbors, but warmed up towards the end of the game and they became fist bump buddies...:-)

風邪、風邪、風邪!!!/sick, Sick, SICK!!!

読者の皆さんこんにちは...みなさんが気づいている通りこの頃マディソンのする新しい事がポストされていないんだけど、なぜなら
Greetings our faithful readers... As you have noticed we haven't posted any new exciting things Madison does but that's because

ここ３週間クライン家は風邪と戦っているからです!!!!!!
WE'VE BEEN SICK FOR THE LAST THREE WEEKS!!!!!!

３週間ずっとじゃないけどひいたり、ひかなかったり...説明します...
Okay, on and off for the last three weeks... Let me explain...

約３週間前のある日デイブが学校から風邪っぽいかなって言う症状を家に持ち帰ってきました。マディソンが風邪を引くと本当に可哀想なんだよね、鼻上手にかんだり咳上手にしたり出来ないし夜とか鼻が詰まって上手く息出来ないで起きちゃうし...小さい子が病気になると本当に可哀想だよね、だからデイブにお願いだから私達に移さないでって頼んでそれから４日間症状無し、だからもしかして勝利と思い始めていたらその翌月曜日に寒気が...：(それは２週間前の月曜日の事...でもそれから３日間家でゆっくり休んで鼻水と咳だけになって、あっ治って来たかもとおもっていました...
It all started about three weeks ago when Dave came home from work with a bit of cold. I absolutely hate to see Madison sick because she doesn't know how to blow nose or cough efficiently yet so she would wake up in the middle of the night screaming because she can't breath well, etc... and it's just really sad to see your little one sick! So I nicely asked Dave to please do not pass your sickness to me or Madison... Well We fought it for good four days or so and when I was starting to think we may have just done it, we caught it...:-( That was two Mondays ago... We took it easy and felt like we were recovering well so we went and did our normal things that week with a bit of runny nose and cough...

でも次の月曜日にまだ鼻水と咳が続いていて週末中にケロッとしていたデイブに同じ様な症状が...良くない気配が：(そしてその２、３日前から止まらない咳が出る度にゲーするようになってしまったマディソン、毎日最低一回は吐いていました。そしてひどくなったのがよる３界から回ぐらい咳をしながら起きてオマルの容器に吐く始末...
The following Monday we still had runny nose and cough then Dave started to have similar symptoms over the weekend... Not too good:-( Around that time Madison and I started this violent cough parade which Madison can only stop by vomiting... So for about a week or so Madison has been vomiting everyday. Worse than that Madison would wake up 3 to 5 times a night coughing up violently and half the time she ends up vomiting into her potty bucket...

今週の月曜日にデイブがお休みだったから３人揃ってお医者さんに２週間前に予約を取ってあったので、みんなで行ってきました。まず９時５０分に私とデイブがお医者さんに風邪の症状を見て貰いました。でもこれはウイルス性の風邪だから自分の体の免疫性が戻って来るまで安静しているしかないから処方する薬は無いって言われてガッカリ...そしてその後２階にマディソンのお医者さんに会いに行ったんだけど、予約が無いって言われて、何だそれ!?２週間前に予約したのは確実なのに...それを聞いて自分でもガッカリしたのかマディソンは１階でゲーッ!!今日見てもらわないと困るともう一回２階に戻って何とか次のステップでもある待合室へ...出て来た看護婦に今日は忙しいから結構待たなきゃいけないよと言われて、“あんたバカじゃないの、絶対予約したんだから”と言うのをこらえて長ーい間待った後来た違う看護婦がコンピューターでもう一回調べると、予約してた！慌てて出て行った看護婦がお医者さんを呼びに行ってやっと先生に見てもらえる事になりなした...ハー疲れた！

Luckily we had made our doctor's appointment two weeks ago for this past Monday since Dave was off, but it didn't go as we hoped of course... While I was getting no medicine from my doctor Dave finished not getting any medicine from his doctor and headed to Madison's Ped floor for her appointment, well when he told the receptionist they were there for her 10:45 appointment the receptionist told him her appointment is not in the system... Are you kidding!? So then I'm not sure exactly how it happened but they ended up on 1st floor slipping some paper underneath some door for a chance that Madison can see someone today... That's when I got a text from Dave saying they are on 1st floor and as I was leaving the doctor's office he called and told me that Madison just threw up on 1st floor and that he was told Madison's appointment does not exist... I was really furious because we knew for sure we made the appointment for Madison today and wanted to go up to the ped's floor and yell at the receptionist but since I had to drop off something in the lad downstairs Dave went back up with Madison while I stood in line. Let me pause and tell you about this St*p*d hospital called Kaiser Parmanente... This is what our insurance is called and how it works is that you go to a huge building consists of many doctors so good thing is we can get all our doctor's visits taken care of in a same building but they don't have Emergency Care and tons of people waiting and on that day a big issue with appointment we made. Well, Dave somehow(I think by being nice!?) succeeded in squeezing into today's schedule and was waiting in the ped's waiting room... well that's good but the nurse came out and told us we will have to wait for a while because they are trying to fit us in their busy schedule, fine! just hurry! After weighing and measuring Madison we waited for a doctor in a small room for what we felt like a really long time and about noon another nurse came in... then she punched something in the computer and found out that WE DID HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!(We weren't crazy!!!) it just wasn't placed in the doctor's schedule somehow... so she left to get the doctor quickly and the doctor came to take us to her office...

でも結果は両親と同じ...薬無し!!!!!安静にしていればすぐに良くなるって...それを聞く為に休日の午前中まるまる使って来たのか？しかも病院の責任で一時追い返されたり長い間待たされたり...しかも帰り際に先生に勧められて来月の予約を取ったのは良い物の、看護婦しか予約をコンピューターに入れられないからってメモを残したこの先生の事信用していいのか...
嫌な予感...　次に同じ事起こったらいつも冷静なデイブもキレるんじゃないかな!?早く保険会社替えよーっと：）

And you can guess what happened next right!? She didn't get the medicine!!!!! All of us apparently have some kind of virus thing but since we don't have any fever we just have to let our immune system take over and wait it out... UGH! Plenty of rest and fluids, bluh, bluh, bluh! and it will probably take another week or so to completely go away, BLUH!! Then the doctor said there is no shot records on file for Madison... EXCUSE ME!?? I am 100% sure we brought her shot record with us the last time we came for her 18month check up and I remember nurses complementing on her health chart from NYC(not how healthy she was but how the growth chart and shot records are nicely kept in a sheet of paper...). What is wrong with these people!? This place is such a disaster!! Then the doctor proceeded to make our next appointment next month as she explained to us they don't let doctor's make appointments in the system... What!? Oh yes, she is leaving a note for the nurses so that they can put our appointment in the system... Wow, this is leading to another disaster visit next month and I don't think Dave can be so friendly to them if they lose our appointment again... We'll see... I'm just looking forward to switching our insurance to Blue Shield in the near future...:-)

P.S. アリソンからのコメントを読んで思い出したんだけ、この３週間の経験で習った良い事とと言えばマディソンが自分で鼻をかむ事が出来る様になった事：）明日でこのウイルスに私達の体を乗っ取られたて３週間、マディソンの新技がとても役に立っている今日この頃です!
P.S. Alyson's comment reminded me that I forgot to tell you one positive result from this messy three weeks... Madison learned to blow her nose!!!:-) Tomorrow is our three week anniversary of this virus taking our bodies over and Madison's ability to blow her nose is coming in very handy!

もしかして天才!?/Is she genius or what!?

ついに達成!マディソンが色を揃えて遊んでいる所...：）２１ヶ月の赤ちゃんが出来るの当たり前なのかも知れないけど、関係な〜い！！今日は自分の娘が誇らしいママです...昨日パパの前でいとも簡単に色分けしてビックリさせていたマディソン、本当は２週間前ぐらいから出来ていたんだけど、今日やっとビデオに撮る事が出来ました：）間違って違う色を入れようとした時にちゃんと考えてやり直したりとマディソンってもしかして天才！？
I finally got it on film! That is of Madison matching colors so perfectly...:-) Right now I don't really care if she(21 month old) is supposed to be able to do that no problem, I'm just so proud of her for learning to do it without too much training from us... I know she made her daddy really proud by doing it in front of him about two weeks ago and now I get to share it with you guys...:-) I love when she goes to put a wrong colored piece in and stops at the top, you can see she is really thinking if it's the right color for the pole or not... then she corrects it!! Wow! As you can guess she is an expert at the shape sorting toy at the library story time and we don't even own one!

そして昨日、マディソンとエリーと外を走りに行った時に犬禁止の海辺際の道をいつも走って家に帰るんだけど、エリーをマディソンと一緒に座らせたら...マディソンがちゃんとエリーが落ちない様に捉まえててくれて感激！こんな事教えたり頼んでなかったのに、なんて優しいんだ...！エリーも走らずにマディソンの膝の上に座っていられるのが嬉しかったのか、良い子にちょこんと座って周りの景色を楽しんでいるみたいでした。
Then yesterday Madison, Ellie and I went for a nice jog... My usual jog course when Madison is in her bugaboo is to run along our street and once at the pier I would get on the beach path to get back home. Today was the first time we tried to take Ellie along and since the beach path doesn't allow Dogs I decided to put Ellie in the seat next to Madison, what I didn't expect was for Madison to take such a good care of Ellie...:-) She would hold onto her to make sure she didn't fall off and would let me know if she is slipping down too much while running...:-) And Ellie stayed in there nice and seemed like she enjoyed the view and was quite happy to have gotten a little break not needing to jog back with me...:-) Success!!

２１ヶ月の娘.../Our 21 month old baby...

今日はマディソンの２１ヶ月の誕生日：）マディソンと過ごす毎日は大冒険!最近はマディソン語でお喋りしてばかり、話す事も結構分かっているみたいで楽しいです。この頃セサミストリートを見始めてビックリする事に凄い気に入って、エルモ！って言っています：）エリーとお散歩に行くのはマディソンの役目、砂浜に遊びに行った後プールに足を入れたり、行き交う人達にハイ！とかバイ！って言うのが大好きです...：）
Today is Madison's 21st month birthday:-) and everyday with her is an adventure! She is talking LOTS now and understanding much more so it's definitely fun to interact with her everyday. She started to really enjoy Sesame Street especially when we are driving to Disneyland:-) Loves to take Ellie for a walk, to play on the beach and to dip her feet in the pool afterward, and to say "Hi" and "Bye" to everyone she sees...:-) Oh and she has Chandler (from Friends)'s work laugh down pat... which I shall get on film sometime real soon:-)

毎週火曜日の図書館であるお話聞かせ会はマディソンのお気に入りの一つ。図書館にも慣れて到着すると直ぐ水槽に行ってお魚を見た後、子供用のコンピューターで遊んで...お話会の途中に歌う歌やダンスもしっかり覚えて嬉しそう動き回ったり。ダンスの歌で使うクマのぬいぐるみやスカーフをもちろん取りに行ってちゃんとママの分も持って来てくれた後、片付けまで全部ママの面倒見てくれてます：）
Our Tuesday Story Time has been so great for Madison and I... At this point she has stopped running out of the theater and has been sitting with me nice, or standing around me, really engaged in dances, songs and book readings. For two of the dance songs she needs to go down the steps and get a teddy bear or a scarf, well without me asking her to do so she always picks up one for her and one for me then after we are done using them she would come get my bear or scarf and go put them back in the box! Soooo Sweeeet!

図書館にある何万冊とある絵本の中でマディソンが私に持って来てくれる本は家にある同じ絵本なんだけど、良く見つけられるな〜！と私は関心しまくり：）
Then after storytime we spend a little time browsing the shelves and would you believe out of those thousands of books Madison always seems to find her way to the same books she already has at home...amazing!

このダンスは途中で音楽が止まる度にフリーズって自分達も止まらなきゃ行けないんだけど、マディソン上手でしょ!!
This freeze dance is one of her favorite song to dance to... and she is soooo good at freezing!!

最近マディソンがし始めた事で全然可愛くない事があります...それは“ブリージングスペル”って言って、５％の子供に起こるんです：(
Another thing Madison started to do recently is nothing cute at all...it is called "Breathing Spells." Apparently it happens in .1% to 5% of children, so hooray, Madison is special :-(

最初にこれが起きたのは、私がエリーを散歩がてらマディソンと公園に行った時の事...いつもエリーのひもを持って歩くのはマディソンでとっても上手に出来るんだけど、この日何かにつまずいたのかエリーが強く引っ張り過ぎたのか、道ばたで転んじゃったんです。その後、思いっきり泣こうとして大きく息を吸ったんだけど、長く吸い過ぎたのかな？急に体に力がなくなってそのまま気絶するみたいに目を閉じ始めたんです。マディソンを抱きかかえていた私はビックリして大声で“マディソン!!!!”って言ったら、目が閉じ終わる前に起きて来たんだけど私は少し放心状態...そして二回目に起きたのは、バイブル教室の途中でした。私の財布を漁っていたマディソンから財布を取り上げた後グズり始めたマディソンを連れて外に出たマディソンは外に出た途端気絶、中に居た私はデイブがマディソンの名前を叫ぶのを聞いて慌てて駆け出して１、２秒後には目を覚ましたから良かったんだけど慌てて病院に連れている事にしました。結局分かった事はこれはまれだけど５歳以下の子供達に起こる事があるらしい...他に変な症状が出なければ大丈夫だって...とりあえず、これが何なのか分かって良かったんだけど後３年間も起こる可能性があるのは困るな...：(
This first happened to Anna when Madison fell while walking Ellie...she got herself so upset that she inhaled deeply and then doesn't breathe out, but instead her eyes start to close and Anna screamed out Madison's name and she came back...so scary. The second time it happened was at Bible class...Madison was rifling through Anna's purse and when we took it away she got upset, so Dave took her outside and then she fainted...Dave screamed her name and tried to wake her up not understanding what was going on...we tried to take her to the doctors but the site we went to didn't have emergency hours so we settled for calling the on-call nurse as Madison seemed perfectly fine after both of the instances. The nurse went through all these other symptoms and Madison didn't have any of those...we were worried about brain damage, but that doesn't seem to be a concern. We later learned from people at church who had experience with the same things what these episodes were called and looked them up. We got a bit of relief to find out it's not just Madison and it goes away... but 3 more years of this!? not great...:-(

いろんな資料を読んでみると、この症状は子供達が無理の起こらせている訳じゃないんだって、だからなるべく起こっても大げさにしない事が大事で無視出来る限りした方がいいらしい...もう二度と起こらなければいいんだけど...
We also read that it's important to ignore it rather than make a big deal. We are trying to see what may work to get her to snap out of it when we see that she is heading that way but at this point we just hope it won't happen too often to her that she will be able to deal with those upsetting situations differently...
