マディソン絵日記/Madison Iwai Says: 04.2012

About 4 weeks ago we took off work and nervously waited all day like first time home buyers and finally around 3:30pm, WE GOT THE KEYS!! We headed to our new home right away to get the keys from our realtor Donna! When we got to the house her husband Reggie(realtor/flipper/certified lock smith, etc...) was changing our locks and surprising us with new sets of keys:-) We had originally planned on getting most rooms painted before we moved in but since it took us almost all day to get the keys and we were emotionally too exhausted to do anything at that point we just went back to our apartment and packed some more last minute things before our big stressful-to-be moving day...
約４週間前、デイブと私は仕事を休んで私達の初めての家の鍵を正式に貰うまで３時半まで気長に待ちました...不動産屋のドナが鍵を貰ったと電話してくれたので、すぐに家に行ってみると、ドナの旦那さん(鍵師が職業の一つ)が早速新しい鍵を取付けてくれていました：）予定ではこの日に全部の部屋の壁を塗り替えようとしていたんだけど、鍵を貰うのに一日かかってしまったので精神的にクタクタで何もする気がしませんでした。その後すぐマンションに帰って明日の引っ越しの準備をする事に...

About 2 hours earlier... We had found out the truck spot(and the freight elevator, we assumed) we reserved did not happen thanks to our ever so trust worthy Josh the door man... and that meant that not only we don't have a perfect spot to park the truck to move all our stuff out of a special back door that opens out from the specious freight elevator but we would be fighting with residents for a smaller non-reserve elevator and needing to carry all our stuff out to a non secured parking spot we would get tomorrow morning... Since it was very much Josh's fault(He put us in conference schedule book instead of truck/elevator book...) The door man who gave us the bad news was working really hard to talked to the resident who actually has the truck/elevator reserved at 8:00am to please let us have it from 8:00 to 8:30(just to get the 4 or 5 big furnitures out and into the truck...) Well he said no so we went ahead and reserved the spot from 6:00 to 7:59 and notified our friends that they have to get up a bit earlier...
鍵を貰う２時間前の事です...私達のマンションには引っ越し用に予約出来る大きなエレベーターとトラックを停められる駐車場所があって、それをちゃんとドアマンに言って予約したと思っていたら、それが無い！しかも明日は引っ越しの予約がいっぱいで私達が取ってあった時間帯も、もちろん他の人が予約してあったので私達はパニック状態...：(でも、何とか朝の８時から８時半まで大きな物を運ぶだけの時間を貰い、これでするしか仕様がないと言う事に...

The moving went absolutely amazing with our very talented friends and there was nothing to worry about... We had Grace and Sandra as Madison and Ellie's baby sitters at the new house and we had Chris, Brian, Matt and Andres help us move out of the apartment... I was able to clean as the guys took out all our stuff so when they loaded everything into the truck we were able to hand in our keys and say good bye to our apartment for good...:-)
前の日はとってもストレスが貯まる日で、とっても心配していた引っ越しの当日でしたが、手伝ってくれたお友達のお陰で引っ越しも無事終了する事が出来ました...グレースとサンドラ、マディソンのお子守りありがとう！

Once we arrived at the new house another group of very helpful/talented friends from Church were there to help us move in and we were done by lunch time to celebrate our officially very successful moving in/out day!
私達の新しい住まいの到着すると、たくさんの教会の友達が手伝いに来てくれていたので、たぶん４５分ぐらいで引っ越し完了です！
