Japan Trip 2014 Part1

On July 18th we left California and visited my families in Nagano, Japan for a whole month! Hooray!
To be honest we don't know how best to summarize our whole month there in a nice length blog post so we will try the "Show a picture and tell" kind of format and see if that works:-) But it's going to be a lengthy one so get comfy please...

First super long(13 hours) airplane trip for Violet... Her lap seat costed us $300!!:-( Madison enjoyed her personal TV and music:-)

One of our favorite restaurant where you can get your Udon served in so many ways!

Madison is showing off her Play-doh skills and Violet getting to use her destroyer skills...:-)

Violet really picked up her walking during our trip!

We LOVE and MISS the Japanese style bathroom... Girls had so much fun in it! More than a few times it turned into a cool pool to get away from the humid heat of Summer in Nagano:-)

You should have seen the other guy... Okay that's a joke:-) A little accident at the public pool gave our sweet Madison a black eye 3 days before our big trip to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort, Boo!

We got here a day early so we can get well settled and rested at Hilton Tokyo Bay... From there we took a shuttle bus to the monorail station to Ikspiari which is very similar to the idea of Downtown Disney but WAY COOLER!

Got the monorail tickets dancer pose!

Since the monorail runs around both parks we decided to take a lap around before getting off at Maihama Station for Ikspiari...

 Disney Sea Day!
We got to the park nice and early to stand in line and after all of us witnessed pretty much everyone mad dash to popular thrill rides we made our way over to the Mermaid Lagoon which was very not crowded... To be honest I don't think the pictures can do justice to this place but we were so very impressed and were so excited to see as much as we can and ride as many rides we can ride... So much better than any of the parks in the States. The level of attention to detail and the commitment to create something truly amazing were there, you could see and feel it the moment you step into the park... We highly recommend you add this place to your bucket list but it definitely doesn't hurt to be able to speak basic Japanese before hand.
Anyhow this below Mermaid Lagoon was just awesome! It's HUGE and inside is packed with a few kid friendly rides like jumping jelly fish and a huge playground with water feature and not only that you get to explore Ariel's secret cave of human things... It was a really hot day so it was soooo nice to escape from heat inside while grabbing bite of snacks and doing some shopping:-)

Our very first ride of the day! The Flounder's Coaster:-)

Next door to the Mermaid Lagoon is a big city of Agrabar...:-) Madison's one of favorite rides of the day!

Here we are in Cape Cod where Duffy and Shelly Mae were born!

Our cutie!

This big lake? takes place right in the middle of Disney Sea and this is a special Summer show called "The Legend of Mythica".

After a really good night sleep we hit Disneyland which was very similar to our Disneyland...

Poor black eyed girl got a lot of attention in a good way, all the characters in parades waved and blew kisses at her thinking what happened to that poor girl!:-) We were so excited to get nice family pictures at the park but I guess we will have to wait for our next visit to get those...;-)

Oh no! All gone! I want more!!

"Natsu Matsuri"(Summer Festival) parade where we especially Madison got drenched!

One of the coolest things at Tokyo Disney Resort, they have sooo many cute food to eat! This was something my Mom got, a shaved ice with green tea syrup and the alien rice cake with sweet red bean paste:-) Yum!

Our breakfast one morning...:-)

Family Picture that ended up in a frame...:-)

On the way back home to Chino we made another stop in Odaiba,  I can't remember exactly but a huge TV station and mall plus somekind of entertainment center in one for visiters... It's the building with an orb in below picture... The garage is across the building and both buildings are connected by a bridge with a beautiful view of the Tokyo bay...

One big reason we stopped by in Odaiba is we are such a huge fan of a Japanese Cartoon called One Piece since this Fuji TV station broadcast this show it has a restaurant where one of the main character used to work at and of course a gift shop with everything One Piece in it:-) Only reason we have Hulu Plus! We were sooo excited to be able to eat at Baratie!!! But it's hard to understand our excitement when you don't know the show so you are allowed to skip over here if you prefer...:-)

Sanji used to work here...:-)

Very delicious seafood salad!

Oh great, Madison's hand is totally blocking Violet...

This is a show that is forever on! Just like the Simpsons they never age...:-)

Madison is playing with an eye toy inside the mall part...

Rainbow bridge...

It's hard to see but you can see Tokyo Sky Tree in the middle... Apparently famous...

The view we got while walking over to the building...

Madison trying the Yo Yo fishing...

It was FREE!
