HIP#4: Guest Bedroom

About a week before Steve and Linda's arrival we completed our guest bedroom... We of course LOVE how it turned out so we wanted to show you to try to get you to come out here...
Who wouldn't want to stay in here:-)

Before the make over...

AFTER!!
We had ripped up the carpet and re-finished the hard wood floor right after we moved in so what we did to the room are as below...
1. Painted the wall pretty yellow since both our moms' favorite color is yellow:-)
2. Replaced the outlet covers and plugged in a wall flower from Bath and Body Works.
3. Researched cool modern beds and decided to go with a white tufted bed from Overstock.com
4. Dave and Madison went to Ikea to get those floating shelves, cool grey rug with white flower doodle and wavy mirrors then Dave put them up perfectly.
5. Walked around Target and someone found this pretty duvet cover set then walked around some more and found matching lamps.(The print actually is the same except the print for the lamps are in colors, cool right!?)
6. Hung up some of my paintings and the cool frame with Chrysler building picture Ken and Pat Beckloff gave me...
7. Went to Joann's and got some fabric with irregular polka dots on to make the curtains.
8. Dave hung a cutout picture of Madison from Disneyland that he gave me for mother's day.

Steve and Linda can testify this for us but the room gets such a great cross breeze and it is quite comfortable to sleep in! Before their arrival Madison took her nap in there...:-)
Drew & Kate, we apologize for not getting this room completed before your arrival and made you guys sleep on an air mattress with nothing else in the room...:-( I guess you have to come back soon again:-)

We made some additions to Madison's room also... I made pretty curtains and Dave bought these flower wall stickers from Ikea and put them up to pretty up her purple wall...:-)
