That Cake!

We had our very first visitors to our new home a few weeks ago... That(Drew) & Cake(Kate) came all the way from Arkansas to go to a president's museum we didn't know existed in LA, Disneyland and of course to visit us...:-)

They booked a hotel near Disneyland on Wednesday & Thursday nights and we let them fight the crowds at Disneyland on Friday on their own as Cars Land opened...:-) On Saturday we picked them up bright and early along with their suitcases and we headed in for their 2nd day at the park. I really wasn't looking forward to going in to walk shoulder to shoulder with strangers and not be able to ride anything for Madison's sake, but we were pleasantly surprised! The parking was way more full than our normal 7:30am arrival and the trams were working double time, but there was absolutely no line to get into either park! I definitely anticipated a huge line to get into California Adventure since that's what we had to do the weekend before to get in and that was before Cars Land was even open... Wow, we walked right in and we had plenty of space between us and strangers as we strolled through the California Adventure version of a brand new main street. The park had actually opened an hour earlier which we were not aware of and the fast pass to Cars Land's main attraction, which outwardly seems similar to Disney World's Test Trac, had a line longer than most roller coasters and even though it was 8 in the morning, the fast pass was for 10pm. We did not get one as we did not plan to stay that late and we figured it would force That and Cake to come and visit us another time :-)

Drew and Kate had accomplished a lot their Friday in the park so they were content to just kind of do Madison things and she was in a seeing characters mood (which funnily enough is a lot of what Drew and Kate did the day before). Madison saw Goofy...
She did her best ever with a live princess...usually she freaks out...
And one of her favorites...Pluto...
And this one is great...it was taken by a Disney worker with Kate's camera...great picture!

Not pictured are how grateful our plants are that Drew and Kate visited...you see they work for a landscaping company back in Arkansas and they were able to tell quite quickly that we were not giving our babies enough water...since their visit our trees are flourishing, showing new growth on a daily basis. We thought we had totally killed a Fig tree we had just purchased when all the leaves turned brown and had to be plucked off...but they showed us the roots were still good and now that we have watered more the tree is back with a vengeance!!
What is pictured is Madison showing off her leaping ability...enjoy :-)
