Violet's 2nd Birthday Party ~Hungry Hungry Catapillar Edition~

On Violet's actual birthday(8/1) I had a Special Olympics World Games Half Marathon to run plus our Kitchen was no where near presentable so we pushed it back one week... Probably because of one week delay a lot of her friends were out of town and it turned out to be rather smaller group but we were thankful. We were thankful it turned out to be more of an intimate party and also more relaxing birthday party we got to enjoy.  Not bad at all...:-) It's only gonna get crazier from now on...

For the first time ever we were done with everything before our first guest arrived!!

After lunch our party quickly moved to our pool...

Due to Dave's strange way of filming you will have to tilt your head to continue watching the video...

Since we had a small group we decided to order special cupcakes from a local bakery called Frosted and we were so glad we did! Not only the cupcakes were so delicious their service went above and beyond! They even used their new fruits shape mold to make chocolate decorations to go with our theme! Highly recommend them if you are in Long Beach area:-)

 She loved her new bubble machine, this one lights up and plays music and everything! We can never have enough bubble solution though!

Uncle Robert, Aunt Holly, Cousins Carter and Grant got her a rain jacket, super cute and she is ready for El Neno now:-)

Madison's 2nd Birthday Party!!/マディソンの2才の誕生日会!!

We could not have asked for better weather for Madison's 2nd Birthday Party on a beach! But we could have asked for a little more prep time, yeah it was a chaotic couple of hours and we could not have done it without the help of Jim & Alyson and Grace (not baby Grace) so THANK YOU guys very much!!
マンションの直ぐ後ろの海辺で計画したマディソンの２才の誕生日会はとっても良い天気に恵まれました!でも、もう少し準備する時間があれば良かったんだけど...ジムとアリソン、そしてグレースが手伝ってくれてからこそ上手に行ったパーティーです、本当にありがとう!!

The special guest you see here could not have been here without Uncle Jim... Why? Because we had bought a helium tank and it came with 30 balloons plus we had ordered this Elmo balloon separately to surprise Madison, but we forgot to mention that we had this big balloon to blow up to Jim and Alyson who were in charge of blowing up all the balloons so when they told me they had run out of helium before they could finish all 30 balloons I had to tell them the news of the most important balloon that needed to be blown up...:-( So Jim had to drive around Downtown Long Beach in search of a flower shop that could put life into Elmo and after a small hoop to jump over and 85 cents, he had SUCCEEDED!
そしてこの特別ゲスト、エルモはジムのおかげで登場する事が出来ました...なぜかと言うと買ってあったヘリウムタンクを使って一緒に来た風船３０コをジムとアリソンに膨らませて貰ったんだけど、途中でヘリウム終了しかもせっかく特別に買ったエルモの風船を一番最初に膨らませて貰うのをすっかり忘れてました。なので近くのお花屋さんへジムとエルモの風船を送ってパーティー開始ギリギリに帰って来る事が出来ました...：）

One game had the kids dig in the sand to find letters and then race to spell out the secret message...Happy Birthday Madison!!

The Goodie Buckets all got tangled which led to a new adult game...
持ち帰り用のお客さん用のプレゼントに付いていた風船がこんがらがったので、バラバラにするのが大人用のゲームに早変わり...

When the buckets were finally untangled it was time to dig for the treasure and find your bucket...
全部バラバラになった後宝石を見つけて自分の名前が書いてある風船を見つけるゲ−ムの開始...

Finally Dessert time...
やっと、デザートの時間...

Then the party moved down to the water...
そして、パーティーを海辺に移す時間が来た...

The next afternoon Madison finally got to open her gifts...and cousin Lily was there to help out...
次の日の午後やっとお客さんから貰ったプレゼントを開ける事が出来ました...いとこのリリーはお手伝い役...

Those were some awesome gifts...nice job birthday attendees!!!
貰ったプレゼントは全部良い物ばかり...ありがとう!!!
