２０１１年ロングビーチトヨタグランプリ/Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach 2011

今日はトヨタグランプリの第一日目、本当は行く予定じゃなかったんだけど金曜日は入場無料だったので最後の最後で少しマディソンを連れて見に行く事にしました...：）だんだん近づくに連れて騒音が大きくなったのでマディソン大丈夫かなーと思いながらタオルを耳に巻いてみたり...全然駄目でした...でももう少しでゴーゴ！って応援しそうだったので大嫌いではなかったみたい...やっぱりちゃんと行くのは来年になりそう...
Day 1 of Toyota Grand Prix, I decided kind of last minute that I would stroll over with Madison and see if she likes it since Friday is a free day for everyone...:-) I was starting to worry about the noise level as I approached the course and it was LOUD! so I attempted to wrap Madison's ears with my sweat towel(we came right after I was done with Jillian then walked about a mile so of course I was sweating!)... Didn't work... BUT she was almost interested in saying go go! Almost...
有名人レースの練習が後数分で始まる所です。昨日の夜見たケヴィンジョナスのくるまもちゃんとありました...それ以外の人は誰が誰なのか全く分からなかったです...まいっか！
These celebrity cars are lining up to go practice in a few minutes and this is what we came to see... I spotted Kevin Jonas' car which is the only one I could recognize from last night... I saw him sitting in the car but that was it... I didn't recognize any other celebs unfortunately...
有名人レース用の車はそんなに音大きくなかったんだけど、騒音の原因はこれ!!マディソンもこれにはバイだって！
These F-1 looking cars were making so much loud noise when we arrived and these are the ones Madison was saying "Bye" to... Celebrity cars were much quieter... Who knew!?
着た時とは違う入り口から入ってみるとこれを発見する事が出来ました...お父さんの好きなフェラーリのトラック...なのでこれはお父さんへ!
From a different entrance we got to go in and walk around where all the trucks are and I spotted my Dad's beloved Ferrari station... So this is for my Dad!


ビデオを撮ろうとしたんだけどスピードが早い車を撮るのは難しい...でも有名人レースはやっぱり本当のレースに比べると断然遅いな〜...
I tried to film but I didn't get much plus those cars were going too fast for my filming purpose... But they were definitely slower than F-1 races I remember watching on TV growing up...

サンダーサーズデイ オン パイン/Thunder Thursday on Pine.

この週末は毎年あるロングビーチグランプリが直ぐ近くで行われます...ここに長く住んでいる人達から騒音が凄いよーと言われたのでなるべく遠くに出掛ける予定です、でも来年は見に行けると良いなと思っています...：）私のお父さんはこういうの大好きだからきっとここに居たいだろうな〜：）木曜日の今夜は、グランプリ週末の始まりとしてパイン通りを使ってセレブレースに出る車を飾ってあるのを見たりモータークロスって言う競技を、直ぐそこに住んでいるリアムの家族、ムーニー一家と一緒に見に行く事にしました：）
This weekend is the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach which takes place right down the street from us... We've been told the noise will be absolutely crazy so we have plans to stay away from our home as much as we can but next year we would love to check it out... I know my Dad is sooo jealous as he is a HUGE car race fan:-) Anyhow tonight to start off the weekend they had an event called Thunder Thursday on Pine where they had a motocross show and showed some of the cars that will be in a celebrity race... Since the Mooneys (Madison's friend, Liam's family) live right in downtown(1 block from the event!) we got together at their place for a pizza dinner then we headed out for the night of fun:-)

上の写真の右側にあるのがミュージシャンのケヴィンジョナスの運転する車です...この人のファンとかじゃ絶対無いんだけどその人の車に付いていた日本の災害募金のシールを見つけて少し感動したよ...：）
On the above picture on the right, a car that Kevin Jonas is supposed to drive in Saturday's celebrity car race... and although I really don't care about Jonas Brothers I liked that he is raising funds for Japan's disaster relief which you can see in the below picture...:-)

誰かがこれはレース用じゃなくて見せ物用だって。２人用のレースカーなんて見た事無いもんね...

Someone said this is a promotional car since there is two seats and that it will be weird to have in a race...

私達の一眼レフでもなかなか撮りにくいバイクに乗った人達です...ビデオの方がもう少し見えるはず...
Those super fast moving motor people were really hard to capture on photo even with our good camera... so please enjoy our videos...

このビデオを見ると私達が何でバイク大嫌いか分かると思う...騒々しい！その事を思い出させてくれてどうもありがとう、お客暖め係の人達！
This is exactly why we are not big fans of motorcycles... and that they don't know how to share a road... so thank you for the reminder, pre-show performer!

誰か絶対顔から落ちると怖々しながら見ていました...見てて面白かったけど見ている間心配してドキドキしっぱなしです...誰も死ななくてよかった〜：）
We were all waiting for someone to fall flat on his face... It was really cool, but I was so nervous the whole time it was exhausting to watch... I'm happy to report that everyone one survived:-)

バイクのショウの間、ちょうどジムとアリソンが私の古いアイフォンをイーベイで売ってくれているのが終わったんだけど、最後の５分ぐらいで値段がどんどん上がって行ってとてもドキドキ...：）そして一番年下の２人はと言えば、バイクが空飛ぶのなんてどうでもいいらしくママ達のアイフォンでテレビを見ていた...ー＿ー
Also while this show was going on our Idaho family was taking care of selling my Iphone on ebay business which ended very successfully... They were so kind to keep us updated on the time left and current bidding price for us so it was also thrilling...:-) Our two of the youngest spectators couldn't handle the suspense, they decided to escape into their imaginary world of Sesame Street and Thomas the train...
