That's right! Madison is 10 months old today:-) Wow! I can't believe it! and in two more months she will be turning 1 and be able to drink milk and pretty much eat anything she desires...:-) I'd better start planning her BIG 1st birthday party!!
いつも通りの検診と９ヶ月検診の時に貰った１０ヶ月質問用紙のチェックをするぐらいだと思っていたらいきなり血液検査をすることに！今になって思えば、そういえばこの前お医者さん血液検査しなきゃいけないって言ってたな〜...すっかり忘れてた...しかももっと最悪な事に赤ちゃんのポッチャリの腕の血管って全然見えないじゃん!!!!!!お医者さんもマディソンの腕に針刺したのは良いんだけど血管探してうろうろしてるし...意味の無い針の痛みで泣いてる可哀想なマディソン、違うお医者さんがもう一人来て今度は手の甲から血を採る事に...ほっ！良い子でいてくれてありがとうマディソン！
So what I thought would be a regular check up plus going over the 10 month questionnaire we had to fill out last night turned out to be a blood drawing nightmare! Now that I think about it I guess the doctor had warned me during our 9 month check up that she will be taking blood sample at the 10 month check up but obviously I did not remember it... and what was worse is that her cute baby puffiness prevented the doctor from accurately locating her vein!!!!!! The doctor went ahead and poked her in hopes of finding the right vein but wasn't able to and searched around for one a while but then gave up... Madison was crying but I think that's because the doctor gave her pain for nothing! so then another doctor came and poked top of her hand and finally succeeded in getting some blood out...:-) Sigh! Madison did SOOOOOOO good!

Since I had to take them while my daughter was in pain I got a few dirty looks from the doctor and the nurse... Yeah I totally deserve that!! and thank you Madison for understanding that I need good pictures for our blog...

家に着いて夕ご飯用にカレーピラフを炊飯器にセットした後、デイブが外で荷物を持って手を振っている人に気づいた...えっ!?
After getting home and getting my rice cooker ready(Curry Pilaf for Dinner), Dave noticed someone waving a package outside... Huh!?
まず、私達にはとても働き者の郵便屋さんがいます！他の所はどうか分からないけど、ここには普通の郵便を配達する人と大きな荷物を配達する人が違っています。そしてチャイムが壊れているって知らない荷物配達の人は誰もいないと思っていつも取引券を置いて行くんだけど、そこに助けにきてくれるのが郵便配達の人！わざわざ郵便局に荷物を取りに行かなくても良いようにいつも手紙と一緒に荷物をもう一回持って来てくれるんです：）良い人でしょ？ビッグファンです：）だから今朝も荷物配達の人が来たみたいなんだけど取引券を置いて行ったから手紙と一緒に来るかな〜と思っていたら何も無し！ガ〜ッカリ...でもやっぱりスーパー郵便配達マン、今夜家に帰りがけにわざわざ荷物を届けてくれました。今どうやってお礼をしたら良いか考え中です。
First of all we have the best mailman! I don't know if it's the same wherever you live but we have a regular mailman who delivers letters and such and a delivery man who delivers bigger packages that won't fit through the small letter slot on the door... And the delivery man does not know that our doorbell has been disconnected so he comes and leaves a slip when nobody answers the door(even though Madison and I are usually in the house) BUT this best mailman brings the package with him because he knows about our bell situation and doesn't want us to have to go over to the post office to pick up the package!!! How sweet! We really like him:-)
Anyways, I guess the delivery man tried to deliver and we didn't notice and he left a slip, bluh, bluh, bluh... and the mailman didn't bring the package with him during the day so I was a bit concerned but then he always comes through...!!! Well, tonight he dropped off the package as he was going home since he had a car with him, what a service! We are trying to decide what we can do to thank him for his great service and to make it known to his supervisors...
で荷物は何だったかって？何と日本にいる仲の良い友達からだったんです!!小学校の時から友達の泉江と過去３年ぐらい連絡が取れなくなってしまってたんです...だから最近お母さん達に送った荷物の中に手紙を入れて泉江の実家に届けてもらいました：）泉江からの荷物の中にはマディソン用にOlive des Olive(杏奈の大好きなブランドの一つ)で買ってくれたすっごいカワイイ帽子！しかもリバーシブル！と手紙と３才の娘キラリちゃん(スーパーかわいい！)の写真。
So the package guess what? was from my really good friend in Japan!! Mizue and I have been friends since elementary school and we kind of lost touch the last few years... In the box I recently sent to my family I also included a letter to her so my mom could deliver it to her parent's house... In the package from Mizue were a really cute hat from one of my favorite Japanese brands, Olive des Olive and a letter summarizing what she's been up to the last few years and pictures of her family(her husband and their 3 year old daughter Kirari(super cute name!!)
開けてすぐにマディソンの頭にかぶせて写真を撮ろうと思ったんだけど...そう簡単には行かない！最近“帽子大嫌いの会”に入った我が子はかぶせてもすぐ取ってしまうの繰り返し...：(泉江、心配しないでちゃんと春／夏が来る頃には帽子好きになっていると思うから...そしたらちゃんとした写真を撮るからね！
Right away I put the hat on Madison to try to take pictures... not so successful! She has been going through an "I hate hats" stage...:-( But don't worry Mizue, she will be loving your hat in the Spring/Summer... I promise to take a better picture of her and her cute hat!

So hard to watch my sweet grandaughter getting poked. How much does she weigh,now? She certainly is mobile!!Hope you have some comfortable running shoes.
