Annual Pass to the Disneyland

This past Christmas we decided to get each other annual passports to Disneyland and it has been coming in really handy for us Kleins...:-) Since we have the "Go anyday you want" premium pass that comes with free parking we've been collecting parking tickets to see how many times we end up going this year...

What do most people look forward to when they come to a theme park like Disneyland!? Meeting characters right? Well that's not the case for our girl and you may remember a picture of her melt down and waving goodbye to the Pooh at Halloween time last year... You don't remember!? It's your lucky day! You can see it right down here:-)
Please enjoy another picture of melting down Madison, I believe this was taken early January and was our first attempt this year... Apparently she didn't care for Chip and Dale and so neither did they... After this we took a long break from getting anywhere near those furry friends...

Well, We've been working on this fear of giant animals ever so slowly and recently she may have come around just a bit... As you know she is a big fan of Doggies(Won Wons) and recently Quacks got added to her A-list... And those lucky Disney characters that Madison is warming up to are Mr. Donald Duck, Mr. Goofy and Mr. Pluto... Well just to wave hi from far away is where we are at so hopefully when Jim, Alyson, Lily and Grace visit us in April, she will be able to stand by them and not hysterically cry bye...:-)

Nope, she is not ready for the chief Disney character, Mr. Mickey Mouse...

We are not sure how she may do with people characters... I guess we'll have to find out soon:-)

And this was more than a month ago but we took Daddy to Disneyland for his birthday... We had somewhat disastorous dinner at a restaurant in California adventure and stayed to watch "World of Color" show which was really cool, but a bit too long, Madison fell asleep in the middle of it!

Madison found neon yellow headbands we used two years ago for Halloween when we dressed up as Richard Simmons and Olivia Newton John. And insisted on wearing it for a week or so straight:-)


Lastly a really cute picture of Madison with her pigtails... Doesn't she look like Boo from Monsters Inc!? Oh do we go to Disneyland waaaay too much:-p

Madison is becoming more and more of a miss chatter box lately... And I just read babycenter and I guess that's what 21 month old's are supposed to be doing so our girl is right on schedule...:-)

Yup, she is definitely saying more English words despite my effort but she understands so much in Japanese so I guess Japanese words are harder to pronounce!? and now I'm curious to know what our first sentences/words were... I bet it wasn't "Stop it!":-)

Also she can point to parts of her face when I ask for Mimi(Ears), Me(Eyes), Atama(Head), Hana(Nose), Kuchi(Mouth),etc... We will be working on parts in English soon:-)

A CLARIFICATION: To those who received a Christmas News Letter from Steve and Linda: We understand the letter might have made you think Steve and Linda are against Madison growing up Bilingual, but You may be relieved to know that's not what they meant, they are supportive about Madison being able to speak both English and Japanese languages, they were just attempting to make a joke about us ditching the East Coast (which is currently enjoying 24 inches of snow) and moved to Sunny California (where we spent yesterday on the beach and in the pool...SORRY :-)

ディズニーランドで元旦/New Year's Day at Disneyland

去年のクリスマス(たったの２週間前!)にデイブと話し合ってお互いにディズニーランドへの年間パスを買う事にしました。なので今年の元旦はもちろんディズニーで過ごす事に!!
Last year for Christmas (which is only two weeks ago!) Dave and I decided to give each other an annual pass to Disneyland so here we went to celebrate our New Year's Day at the ORIGINAL happiest place on earth!!

昨日の夜新年まで起きてパーティーしていたマディソンは、寝たり無い様子でディズニーランドに向かっている途中でお昼寝開始、到着した後も約１時間半バガブーで熟睡してくれたので、私とデイブはのんびり歩き回ってお昼を食べる事が出来ました：）ありがとうマディソン、でもパパはマディソンに早く起きてもらいたがっていたよ...：）
Since Madison stayed up to celebrate the New Year with us at our party the night before she was still catching up on her sleep when we got to the park so we just walked around while she took her two and a half hour nap... which was kind of relaxing for me, but Dave was itching to start to get on rides:-)

マディソンが起きた後、マディソンが寝ている間に取って置いたホーンテッドハウスのファーストパスの時間をスプラッシュマウンテンの前で待って...マディソンは滝に人が落ちて行く度に”ワー!!”って...可愛いな：＿
After Madison woke up we were killing time until our fast pass time to the Holiday Haunted Mansion in front of Splash Mountain "wowing" at people on their rides... It was very cute:-)

そして、待ちに待った時間、今の季節特別なホリデーホーンテッドマンションはもちろんデイブと交代で入ったんだけど本当によかった〜！これは絶対一回は行くべきの乗り物です。今年のハローウィンの模様替えを見るのが楽しみ：）
Then finally it was time for our Holiday Haunted Mansion! which we took turns of course, it was really amazing! This is definitely worth checking out during holiday time... so I won't ruin your surprises;-)

これが目的で今回ディズニーに行った訳じゃないんだけど、発見してビックリ...もちろんお土産に買っちゃいました：）
This is not the reason we made our trip over here this time, but it sure was a fun surprise... so of course we had to get it:-)

Biggest reason for our visit to the park...The Holiday It's a Small World!! Since the next day was Sunday we decided to not stay toooo late so didn't get to see all the amazing lights but we are saving that for this year's Christmas...:-)
今日ディズニーに来た一番の理由はイッツアスモールワールド!!次の日が日曜日だったからあんまり遅くまで居ない事にして綺麗なライトアップしたクリスマスの飾りを見る事が出来なかったけど昼間でも十分綺麗...：）今年のクリスマスに季節が楽しみ...：）

オバマ大統領が毎年サンクスギビングに助けるらしい七面鳥です...その大幸運な一羽はディズニーへ来られるらしい...また今年の七面鳥が一羽来る時に去年のはどうなるんだろう...
Apparently President Obama pardons a Turkey every year and that lucky Turkey gets to come to the happiest place on earth... We still don't know what happens to the birdie when President Obama picks a new one this Thanksgiving though...

Oops, we forgot to post our last part of our 2010 Christmas featuring presents from us, my parents and Jim and Alyson! Here we go!
今年最後のクライン家のクリスマスのポストを書くのを忘れていました、これはお母さんとお父さんからとジムとアリソン達からのプレゼント!

I'm guessing my mom got this at Tokyo Disneyland... A giant Mickey rice cracker!
