Tired of Disneyland yet? WE'RE NOT!! I entered the park today and had to ask myself why I still get those excited jitters and feel like I have to rush everywhere to fit everything in...it is weird...
ディズニーランドに飽きて来た？全然!!今日ディズニーランドに来て何でいつも来る度にウキウキして全部を満喫しなきゃいけない気分になるのかと思いました...

A week or so ago, on a Wednesday morning, Madison and I (Daddy) took our first Mommy-less trip to Disneyland...it was sad, but we tried to make the best of it by getting to walk on almost every ride and videoing our experience so that Mommy could still see...and now so can you...
一週間ほど前、初めてママ抜きでディズニーランドにやって来ました...寂しかったけどほとんどの乗り物に待ち時間無しで乗る事が出来たのでそのビデオをママが見れる様に撮る事が出来ました...どうぞご覧ください...

Today we hit a new low in the Disney flu...two times a year the Disney store outside the parks in Downtown Disney has an exclusive sale for annual passholders...the sale is from 6:30am to 9:00am...so at 5:30am we hit the road...we arrived at 6:05 and the parking lot was jammed...it turned out people had arrived as early as 2:30am...Madison and I stayed in the car and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on our new DVD player while Mommy went to go experience the line...two hours later she was out of the store with some shorts, a bag and these three cuties...
そして今日ディズニー病が悪化...一年に２回ダウンタウンディズニーである年間パスを持っている人達だけの朝６時半から９じまでのスーパーセールへ行ってしまいました。朝５時半に家を出て駐車場に到着したのは６時５分頃、１番に来た人達は朝２時半とかから並んでいたらしい...僕とマディソンは車の中でのんびりミッキーマウスクラブハウスを見てママは列に並んでスーパーセールを体験。２時間後やっとお店から出て来たママの袋にはこのカラフルなぬいぐるみとマディソンのミッキーのショーとパンツと大きなバッグ...
After that Anna and Madison headed into the park, while I ran back to repark the car...before I arrived Madison spotted Pluto and just had to visit him...Anna was worried Madison might get scared again, but that wasn't the case...Pluto grabbed her right in and she loved it!
その後アンナとマディソンがパークに入って僕は車をディズニーランド用の駐車場に停めに行きました。その間、プルートを見つけたマディソン、写真を撮りたがったのでせっかく列に並んだけど、きっと恥ずかしがるか泣くかと心配していたアンナは自分一人で勇敢にプルートと写真を撮りに行ったマディソンを見てビックリ！
So since she seemed to be in a character mood and had recently been getting into the Princesses we decided to try the Princess Walk for the first time...after an over 30 minute wait...it did not go well...she wouldn't go by herself and then would just point at the next Princess and say "Princess" instead of paying any attention to the one she was next to...but since we waited over 30 minutes we will definitely still post the pictures...
プルートとの写真がうまくいったので最近好きになり出したプリンセス達とも写真を撮る事に挑戦...３０分以上待った後の写真撮影はそうはうまくいきませんでした...自分一人でプリンセスの所へ行きたがらず、次のプリンセスを指差すばかり...

Madison's New Ride and Potential Narcolepsy/クライン家の２代目の車

So I am having trouble uploading the videos of Madison and Daddy's Day at Disney, so I decided to do a quick little post on Madison's New Ride and her potential narcolepsy disorder...First the new ride...a 2008 Pacific Blue Toyota Highlander...with 3rd row seating :-) So I believe we can officially fit more people in our vehicle than we can in our apartment :-)
マディソンと２人で行ったディズニーランドのビデオがアップロード出来ないので、クライン家に加わった新しい一員の２００８年トヨタハイランダーを紹介します...：）ちゃんと３列目もあるんです：）


Second, Madison has started this wicked cute thing where she fake sleeps all over the place...she will say "night" and then begin to snore real loud and fake sleep in bed, when you go to get her out of her car seat, in the middle of the hall, or this morning, as she is waking up.
そして、最近マディソンがし始めたとっても可愛い“寝たふり”を紹介します...“お休み〜”っと言った後ちゃんとウソのいびきをかきながら寝たふり...車から出しに行く時や廊下の真ん中や今朝起きがけの時に。

P.S. We also just finished a great Gospel Meeting at our congregation with Don Truex, a minister from Temple Terrace, Florida giving a series of lessons entitled Extreme Makeover Home Edition with lessons ranging from Marriage "7th Heaven or Survivor" (one of mine and Anna's favorite) or "Homeland Security: Parenting by the Book" and "Dollars and Sense: Money, Marriage, and the Will of God." We really enjoyed all the lessons and wanted to let everyone know they can be downloaded at justchristians.org (the website for the Studebaker Road Church of Christ)

"Everyone Poops"/“みんなうんち”

One of Madison's favorite books is Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi. Please enjoy a brief sampling of the story.
今マディソンのお気に入りの絵本の一冊が五味太郎先生のみんなうんち(英訳)です。その本を覚えて来たマディソンのビデオです。でも日本語じゃなくてごめんね：）

And we include one bedtime picture of the Madison trance as one can only assume she is thinking if she closes those eyes she might have to go back to daycare...only kidding...today was our third daycare day and it went loads better than the first two which is exciting. When I picked her up she actually wanted to continue playing...that was a first. Her teachers say she plays really well and loves it and also enjoys singing and dancing...what she apparently doesn't enjoy is structured naptime...shocking!! We will see how Thursday goes, but I have a sneaky suspicion before long she will be jumping out of the car before I can even stop it :-)
そして最後に、寝る寸前のマディソンの写真を一枚...今日はスイカ幼稚園３日目で最初の２日とは断然うまく行きました...僕が迎えに行った時遊び続けたがっていたのがその証拠です。マディソンの先生によると、マディソンはダンスや歌の時間が大好きで遊び時間もお気に入りで上手に遊べるって...あんまり好きじゃないのは、時間が決まっているお昼寝の時間、でも当たり前かな？木曜日の幼稚園がどうなるか少し楽しみの今日です。きっと直ぐに、幼稚園に行くのが待ち切れなくて車から飛び出す様になるのかな...：）

マディソンブログのファンクラブ.../Calling all Madison's blog fans

毎年恒例のマディソンブログのファンクラブ会員募集の日がやって来ました。もちろんもうとっくにファンの一員になっている人は気にしないでいいけど、最近コメントが少なすぎで悲しいのでもうちょっとそこの所頑張って下さ〜い！！しかも最近アップグレードされた読者の地図のお陰で何処の人がこのブログを読んでいるか分かるんです...
でも市と県までだけど...でも東京で誰か読んでたり、大阪にもたまに読んでいる人がいるらしい...家族と友達以外で読んでくれても全然良いですけどもし良かったら、ファンになって下さ〜い：）あと、最近仕事を初めてとっても忙しいので訳すのが遅すぎたらごめんなさ〜い：）
Once a year, we beg our readers to become Madison's blog fans... so it's that time of the year... Of course if you are already one of the proud 14 fans then chin up and read proud but if I may I wish more of you would write comments... You know, it kind of help us keep going...:-) Thanks!

Stamps/判子

This week was a big one in the life of Madison...she started daycare...I think it was more difficult on Anna and I, at least we hope...at first Madison was not having any of it of course...then I was allowed to go in and play with her for a little while and she warmed up to the doll babies and the building blocks. Then I left after about ten minutes and we were told she cried a few times and runs too much :-) but all in all did pretty good...day 2 was Thursday (we are just trying out a Tues/Thurs Summer "Camp" from 9-4) and again she wasn't anxious to go in...and then she saw the stamps...she went straight to the table with stamps and began to play...I stayed about five minutes and then hit the road...upon pickup we were told she loved the hitting of the watermelon (some Japanese tradition Anna will have to explain), and pool time, which doesn't rival Daddy and Madison pool time, but was still fun I guess...unfortunately she fell asleep during lunchtime and then didn't sleep during naptime, but one of the workers said she took Madison out and "prayed" with her...I used context clues and the fact the Japanese speakers can not hear the difference between l(s) and r(s) to decipher she meant "play"...I mentioned its a Japanese day care right...that is our main reason (besides the fact that Anna and I both may be working come September) to enroll her so that she can get immersed in the language because right now English is definitely winning...what I should do is probably join as I need to be immersed as well as when I pick her up the ladies have a lot to say in Japanese and I smile and muster a "wakarimasen" (don't understand). There is one worker that speaks English pretty well...I like her best :-)
今週はマディソンの人生で大事な週の一つでした...幼稚園を始めたから...でも心苦しかったのは僕とアンナの方かな？だと良いんだけど...最初にマディソンは僕にピッタリくっ付きっぱなし、でも一緒に教室に入って良いと言われたので一緒に入ると、さっそく赤ちゃんのお人形と積み木に集中していたので僕はその間にそーっと抜け出しました。幼稚園のサマーキャンプ第一日目：やっぱり何回か泣いたりしたけど、良くできたって...でも何処でも(特に室内)走りすぎるって...幼稚園２日目は木曜日(週２日で９時から４時まで試してます)でした。やっぱり最初の日の様に直ぐには行きたがっていなかったけど判子を見るなり、超特急で判子を押して貰って遊び始めました...５分間ぐらい見守って行きました...迎えに行くと先生にスイカ割りとプールがとっても気に入ったと、でもパパとのプールの方が絶対良いに決まっていると思いながら、日本語がわからない事をすっかり忘れて話し続けている先生へ聞いているフリ...でもお昼を食べている間にお昼寝をしてしまいみんながお昼寝をしている間にはもちろん起きていたから先生一人に遊んでもらっていたらしい...

July 7th is "Tanabata" day in Japan so Madison brought home a bamboo branch with her wish written on it... It says "I wish to make lots of friends!"...
７月７日の七夕のこの日はお願いごとを書いた短冊を家に持ち帰ってきました...

Today was soccer practice...I wished I would have brought the video camera because she spent all thirty minutes screaming crying and just wanting to be picked up (which I refused) so we watched from a distance (well I watched) as she continued to scream...then at the end of the practice I mentioned the coach was giving out stamps, "stamps" she said as she quickly got herself up from her grassy tantrum and voluntarily walked across to the coach (the same thing I had been trying to get her to do for thirty minutes)...then after getting her stamp she took her soccer ball and dribbled (used her tiny kicks) better than she ever did last week and went and kicked the ball in the goal and then came running back to give me a hug like it was the best thing ever...ahhh...2 year olds...good times!!
今日は朝サッカーの練習がありました...最初の３０分間は抱っこして貰いたくて泣き通し、ビデオカメラ持ってくれば良かった...最後の方で監督が判子を出すなり草の上に寝転がって泣き叫んでいたマディソンは自分一人で歩いて(３０分間マディソンにして貰いたかった事)監督の所へ判子を押してもらいに行き、そしてその後今まで一番上手にドリブルをしながらシュート！そして、僕の所に走って来て大きなハグ、とっても嬉しそうで満足そうな顔...これが２才の人生か...

July 4th Weekend in Reverse/独立記念日の週末を逆から

July 4th ended with a trip to the Galaxy game as I had to "work." I had gotten Anna and Madison the cheapest tickets so that we could be together on the 4th, but then at the last minute the Galaxy were able to give free tickets, so Madison and Anna were bumped up to the third row of the family section...which came with free thunder stix...very nice!! After the game there were fireworks which were very nice as well...
今年の独立記念日は、僕がサッカーのゲ−ムで働かなきゃいけなかったのでアンナとマディソンに一番安い座席を取って一緒に過ごすつもりで居ました...でも最後の最後で無料券を貰える事になったので３列目の家族用の区間へ変更：）しかもこの座席には無料でサンダースティックと言ううるさい音を出せる応援の手助けが...そして、試合の後は独立記念日ならではの花火、直ぐ目の前で迫力満点で凄いのが楽しめました：）

Anna got out the uniform, which was a gift from Liam's family who somehow were given doubles, early in the morning because we didn't want to forget to put it on her, but as soon as she saw it she screamed "soccer ball" and had to put it on...it miraculously stayed clean through breakfast...
リアムの家族から貰ったベッカムのユニフォームを朝早く出し過ぎたアンナ、”サッカーボール”て叫んで早速着たがったマディソンだっだけど、何とか無事朝御飯のしみを付ける事無く着続ける事が出来ました...

This is some sort of tantrum, but we thought it made a cute picture...

Sunday after worship it was off to the famous Liam's 2nd birthday party at Jacqueline's parent's house in Downey, California...
日曜日の教会の後、ダウニーに住んでいるリアムのおじいちゃんとおばあちゃんの家でリアムの２才の誕生日会へ...

It was a pool party and party we did :-)
プールパーティーだったので、もちろんプールを満喫：）
Unbeknownst to us, but knownst to others, the oldest operating McDonalds can be found in Downey so we had to stop by...
これを発見して本当にビックリ、世界一古いマクドナルドがダウニーにあるなんて...だからちょっと何か買ってみました...

Anna was fascinated by all the ancient artifacts...hence all the pictures...
本当に昔の看板とかメニューとかを珍しがって見ていたアンナは写真をいっぱい撮って...

Saturday we foolishly attempted a drive to the San Diego Zoo...once we got about 2/3 of the way there we decided to pull off in Oceanside and eat lunch while watching the surfers...then we headed to a Dairy Queen we knew existed for dessert...there Madison enjoyed her first solo ice cream cone...she did a pretty good job at not letting much escape...
土曜日、サンディエゴ動物園に向けて出発したのは良いものの３分の２の距離行った所で渋滞で全く動かない状態...なので急きょオーシャンサイドと言う海辺でサーファーを見ながらお昼休憩そして、直ぐそこにあるダイリークウィーンでデザートを食べました...ここでマディソンは自分一人で子供サイズソフトを食べる事に挑戦...なかなか上手に食べる事が出来ました...

Happy 4th everybody...hooray for independence...P.S. whenever Madison sees a flag now she screams "fireworks" we will work on our history lessons at a later date.
独立記念日おめでとう...マディソンはアメリカの国旗を見る度に“花火!!”と叫ぶ様になってしまいました。歴史は学校で学べば良いよね。
