It's about time to talk about our Madison:-)

We've been so busy blogging about our house and our projects that we haven't been good about how Madison's life is and what she is into lately... So here you go!

Madison is picking up so many words lately, probably at school and bible class and often surprises us... For example...

Madison fully understands the concept of time out so whenever she is playing with her Mickey and Minnie they sometimes end up in timeout because apparently they didn't obey or listen to Madison... Some impossible orders she makes though are "Sit up!" when they don't have a back support and slide back down or fall off a chair or "Don't Move!" when they are left on wobbly spots and keep falling off... Tough life of being stuffed toys or Madison's play buddies...

Yesterday Madison wanted to do "Circle Time" with us... This happens at her pre-school where all the kids gather around their teacher sitting on a chair and the teacher would sing, read books, and practice colors/numbers/shapes, etc... and what we discovered yesterday is that maybe each child is called to the front and sings a song in front of her/his buddies... Madison had me sing "itsy bitsy spider" which I didn't do so well as I don't really know the lyrics and Dave did a good job singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". We both also got sent to timeout during her circle time and Madison was super cute about it. How Madison imitates her teacher is soooo cute so we wanted to film it for you but it was getting late and trying to ask her to do it all over again so I can film was not good enough reason for her cooperation...:-) Maybe we will try tonight...

At her Bible class she is learning the books of the Bible song and it shocked us the first time when we heard her singing in the car on the way to a service... Will get that on film as well...
Two Wednesdays ago Madison learned about John baptizing Jesus and apparently after the class Madison recited to her teacher, Kim and amazed her... Every time she talks about the baptism she puts her fingers over her nose so that water won't get in...

As part of Madison and Daddy's summer projects I decided they should grow something together and observe through out the summer. I did this growing up although only started from 1st grade and I know it may be too early, but Daddy can help her and it will be fun plus this past Saturday Madison planted Sunflower seeds in those sowing pots and the next day one of the seeds was already sprouting which I couldn't believe, but Madison was really excited to see that and ever since we've been coming to the dining table and observing every morning... Madison thinks her sunflower sprout is sooo cute! which she says a lot lately...:-)

Words she says a lot lately...:
"Sooo Cute!", "I'm Sorry!", "Thank You Very Much!", "Look at me!", etc...
And the cutest of all, "Oh My Goodness!!", I've only able to heard this phrase once but Dave was the one that heard is for the first time and thought it was just too cute... But wow she is such a copy cat and a great eavesdropper like Daddy and we really have to be careful what we say around her lately...

Also ever since we introduced Anpanman(Japanese kids show) to try to get her to listen to Japanese she became a huge fan and every other day or so she watches an episode or two on YouTube and now has a good collection of Anpanman toys from Japan in her play area...:-) One of the her favorite toys has been the Anpanman Beverage Vending Machine just like ones you would see on streets in Japan... She would put a plastic coin in it and she can pick from 4 different kinds and it will make noise as the can of juice or tea comes out at the bottom... It was a huge hit at her birthday party also! We really want her to be more exposed to the Japanese language so we actually ordered a region free DVD player from Amazon and should arrive tomorrow. This way my family can send me all kinds of DVDs from Japan and we would be able to watch them! I don't know why we didn't do this sooner and start collecting Disney movies from Japan since those DVDs would come in both Japanese and English!

Every day we are so glad to have bought this house with a pool... Because Madison LOVES it!! One of our goals this summer is to teach her how to swim without any floating devices because she is soooo close:-) On Monday Dave got Madison a set of goggles just like we have so she can open her eyes in the water now and Dave and Madison started this game where Madison would look down in the water and tell Dave which toys to pick and he would dive down and grab it while Madison puts her face in the water to watch... I mean she is holding her breath! for such a long time! I couldn't believe it when I saw her do that the first time yesterday while filming it! Please enjoy!

I'm not sure if we shared these pictures with you... They are kind of cool...:-)

Finally Madison is adjusting to having her own room now... The room is still work in progress but getting there...:-) Bed time routine seems to be working well but wow it takes a while! We love seeing her asleep in her big girl bed and miss her until she joins us in a middle of the night when she wakes up and Dave(since I don't wake up) doesn't want to bother getting her to go back to sleep in her bed and bring her to ours... More and more nights though she has been sleeping in her bed the entire night...

Bonus pics: We got her this play house for her birthday and our neighbor who has a 2.5 year old grand daughter made this sign for Madison's house!! It says the address of the house"3162 1/2 " Isn't it such a great idea!?
