Today I am giving you a summary of this week's events since Dave had to take our Laptop to school every day this week. So to start we found out that our girl likes the just-finished laundry to be piled on herself... just like her Mommy! We were doing a big load of laundry one day and when Dave came back from the Laundromat across the street he dumped all of it on our bed so we can fold them and Madison was awake so we just laid her on our bed while we folded our laundry...I LOVE the warm and clean laundry and often snuggle with them so I thought Madison might want to try that. We started to pile some of her own clothes on her and saw that she looked happy so we piled more and more. She looked very comfy and cozy in her warm laundry...

On Wednesday night I was holding Madison and thought that her head was warmer than usual, we are still not sure if we took her temperature correctly(since we are not sticking that thing in her butt) but the thermometer said 100.4F! so I knew it was higher than normal but wasn't sure if it was high enough to call a doctor and got a bit panicky and so a little less panicky Daddy went to babycenter.com and looked up when to make a big deal and call a doctor. He read that above 100.1 we should call a doctor and she had 100.4! but since it was late at night we decided to wait and see how she is doing in the morning so remembering how my Mom took care of me when I had a fever I put a damp towel on Madison's forehead and she went to sleep. She woke up once and I felt like she was warmer than earlier, but reapplied the towel and waited it out nervously...Thankfully the next day her temperature was back to normal and she looked better, we decided to stay inside to really make sure she got enough rest and did she sleep a lot!

This week Madison is moving more and more and just doesn't want to stay still much and she likes to hold her feet up and grab them over and over so I took a picture to share with you:-) It's getting more fun to watch her... My Mom told me I didn't crawl much and basically started to walk so she may do that since when we practice standing up and her legs are really strong! On Friday when Dave put Madison in the swing she really twisted her body to grab at the bee toy that is hanging from the top of the swing, it was sooooo cute! yeah she is grabbing things now, very cool!!
Maybe all that warm laundry gave her a fever. Just kidding :) Do you think she could be teething? Some babies run fevers when they're teething.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Madison will be an early walker! Lily also had really strong legs and liked to stand (assisted) from 2 or 3 months old. I didn't realize how strong she was until I held an 8 month old recently who wouldn't support any weight or even come close to standing at all. It was so different! Lily crawled for a week or two before she started pulling up and crusing. Her main form of transportation was still crawling for a couple of months, but with those strong legs once they can crawl, they'll want to walk! You guys have hard wood floors right? If so, I recommend investing in some little socks with grippies on the bottom to keep her feet warm and to keep her from slipping and sliding this winter when she's learning to walk!
