So tonight we back up a step and tell you about how we got our stuff across country. We did the research and decided using FedEx for our move would be the cheapest option as we weren't taking any big furniture with us anyways...I guess you get what you pay for...we promised FedEx we would tell all our family and friends to NEVER use them for your shipping needs and we will now show you why...
Anna lost most of her plates and her favorite tea pot pictured below...I lost my Grumpy Dwarf mug that we had purchased at Disney World last year...very sad :-(
Since we left/sold all of our furniture before we left the East Coast we literally had to start over with nothing...since we didn't want to decide on a table until we had a chance to check out all our options, we had to spend our first week (and actually still now) tableless...a dining table is actually an important piece of furniture in case you didn't know...because this is what happens if you don't have one...
One thing we had always said that was when we got a real kitchen with some space then Anna would get the Red Kitchen Aid Artisan that she had always dreamed of...so before we had a kitchen table, we had our Artisan...it has already made a delicious frozen yogurt! of course with an ice cream maker attachment she also got...:-)
Lastly, I leave you with a picture of our backyard...here we are on our way to the Aquarium of the Pacific which we will share with you tomorrow night...and we include a picture of palm trees because we love them :-)
Um... I don't think that's an aquarium... I think that's the OCEAN! (which is like a giant aquarium) That really stinks that FedEx broke all of your stuff. It seems like they should have replaced it or something. I like your red couch :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that Fed-Ex did such a terrible job keeping your stuff safe. Seems like there should be some monetary compensation. How's your new couch feel as a bed? It's a pretty red!
ReplyDeleteWe have filed our official complaint with FedEx and are waiting for their response...their website says you need invoices and receipts for compensation so we are not holding our breath, but we wanted to make sure they knew how unhappy we were with their service...the couch makes a great bed...very comfy...everyone sleeping well :-)
