Today Madison and Daddy decided to take a stroll and wound up at Bryant Park in Manhattan to meet Mommy for lunch...okay that was the plan from the beginning and it was executed flawlessly. It took us 40 minutes to go from our house, over the Queensboro Bridge (where I jogged a bit) onto the island of Manhattan...then it took us another 30 minutes to weave our way down fifth ave from 59th to 42nd to surprise Anna with a lunch date!! Madison slept the entire trip. Why walk you might ask when Madison is now free to ride public transportation and the answer is simple...I'm a cheapskate!! I hate that they have raised the price of a single ride again from $2.00 to $2.25...that makes it $4.50 for a round-trip (in case you struggle with math)! While Anna is worth spending $4.50 to eat lunch with...I figured the good Lord gave me two legs for a reason so we set out at 11:05 and met Anna for lunch in Bryant Park at 12:30 after a brief stop at Jamba Juice!!
今日はブライアント公園でママとお昼に待ち合わせをしました。クイーンズとマンハッタンの間に架かっている橋を越えて１時間１０分後にようやく到着：）その間マディソはぐっすりお休み... なんでそんなに歩いてるって？電車賃がまた上がったから。健康な足がせっかくあるんだからと徒歩で行く計画を...ジャンバジュースで休憩した後やっとたどり着きました。
After lunch we shuffled off to Kinokuniya, a Japanese bookstore right next to the park where we used some of our gift money from our Church shower yesterday to purchase some books that have vocabulary words in Japanese and English so that we can work with Madison on her bi-lingual development. So far we have been working on Animals and some other objects like the sun and a train...tieyo and kisha!! Daddy is probably enjoying the flashcards more than Madison.
お昼を食べた後紀伊国屋へ日本語の本を買いに...今はパパとマディソンは単語の勉強中、よくがんばっています！。
Lastly, Mommy scanned us in with her monthly pass (which was raised from $81 to $89) so Madison took her first ride on the Subway...she slept the whole time :-) That girl misses so much!!
帰りは電車で帰りました。ママの定期を使ったからもちろん無金で。ずっと寝ちゃってたけどマディソンの初めての電車：）
Are you feeding Madison Jamba Juice in that bottle? Don't try to lie and say it's "breast milk" I know Peach Pleasure when I see it!
