Under the Boardwalk...actually on top of it./海岸を歩いて...

Today Anna got off work at 1pm so we took the opportunity to show Madison Jones Beach in Long Island and hit the road around 2:30pm. After what should have been a 40 minute drive turned into an hour and 45 minutes due to the fact that everyone else in the city apparently also gets off of work at 1pm, we made it to Jones Beach around 6pm after a stop at Olive Garden for dinner and an unsuccessful trip to Buy Buy Baby where we tried to find a tent for the beach that is specially designed to block UV rays (actually I need to order that on-line right now...one moment please)...alright, got that done...so back to our trip to the beach...it was a beautiful night for a stroll on the boardwalk...and stroll we did. We also stopped for some pictures...as you can see it is a bit of a ways from the boardwalk to the water at Jones Beach...not the best when you have to make a restroom run, but does allow a little room between others when laying down your blanket. So tonight we didn't end up getting off the boardwalk, but we will in the near future. Our pictures are taking forever to load...not sure what is going on with that...post a little boring without the visuals to prove we were there...sorry, but wanted to get a new post up for the night...pictures will follow...I hope!!...Gottem' just had to upload one at a time but our devoted readers are worth the effort :-)

  1. cute! I like her picnic table shirt ( I'm sure Anna won't like this description, but it's cute... And looks like a picnic table!) :) I'm sure Madison will be quite the beach bunny in years to come!

  2. A Buffalo Plaid! It's very hot right now! I guess we will have to get one for Lily;-) She will be popular in Idaho!

  3. Buffalo Plaid! And I thought it was gingham, shows what I know! Lily would be popular in Idaho wearing Buffalo Plaid, what with all the buffalo and such :)

  4. Alright, Gingham is correct... It could be more correct than Buffalo... I think Buffalo Plaid is when the scale is bigger. For some reason I thought Madison's shirt had bigger scaled plaid but it's quite small so you win!:-)

  5. Mark this day down in history! Alyson knew something about fashion... or fabric... or buffalo... or something like that.
