８ヶ月検診/8 month check up

今日は８ヶ月検診の日です。だと思って行ったら次ぎに行かなきゃいけなかったのは９ヶ月検診だったらしく体重とかは計ってくれませんでした...　残念、でも残りのインフルエンザの注射を貰ったから注射は当分要らないみたい。そして、マディ先生から離乳食３回にしていいよって言われたから明日から朝ご飯を追加予定でーす！
Today Madison had her 8 month check up... or that's what I thought she had but it turned out they don't do 8 month check up... Not sure why though. So they told me that Madison needs to come in for her 9 month check up but today we can complete the second half of her regular flu. Also Dr. Madi told me that Madison can go from 2 solids per day to 3 solids per day so I felt like Madison just got promoted:-)

そしてお医者さんから帰って来た後、思ってもみなかった非常事態が!!!　家に着いて鍵の入っているはずのポケットに手を入れたら...　あれっ！？入って無いじゃん！何処かに落として来ちゃったみたい...マディソンは丁度バガブーの中でお昼寝中で良かったんだけど困った事に...２階の人に外のとは開けてもらえたんだけど問題は次の戸だけ...　ニティンに手伝ってもらってマディソンとバガブーを中に入れた後、階段に座って約１０分後に大家さんに電話をして丁度休みでいたキャロルに助けてもらえました。めでたし、めでたし！

So after a successful trip to the doctor we came home and I was happy to see Madison sleeping in her Bugaboo and had planned out the whole process of how I would get the bags in first and let the Beans bark out then I would bring her in so that she can possibly keep sleeping... Well, I reached into my jacket pocket and went blank because I could not feel my keys in there!!! I think I passed out for a second or two standing in front of my door then pulled myself together and started to look everywhere else... No luck! Next I rang our landlord's door bell hoping Carol(Anthropology Professor at Columbia) would be home to rescue me... Well, no answer so I knew he couldn't help me but I called Dave and was leaving a message as I tried our upstairs neighbor(Nitin) so that we can at least get through one door and maybe we can work together to open the other door with a wire like an old school thief! Fortunately, he was home to let us in but not the second door so then he called Larry(Carol's husband who was at work) and explained the situation and asked when Carol may be getting home today. Well, Larry told us that Carol should be home so then I knocked on her door louder than earlier but no answer again... So Larry told us that he will call and email Carol right away. Nitin helped me carry the Bugaboo up inside so I can close the glass door part and stay warm and offered for us to come up until Carol came back but since Madison was sleeping so good in her Bugaboo and I did not want to wake her up I told him we would wait right there... 10 minutes later Carol showed up!! Yay! She said she was taking a shower and didn't hear us banging on her door... So here is our happy ending, we got inside! Madison woke up right when I opened the door and Ellie and Coco came to greet us. Such a good baby:-)
