Niagara Falls/

Now that Anna has been off work for a couple of weeks now we officially feel like a couple of retired people and I must say retirement is fun...this week our RV (or Oldsmobile Alero) took us to Niagara Falls via my Aunt and Uncle's place in Rochester, NY. Below are some of the photos from the American side of Niagara Falls as Anna and I did not bring our passports and we were not sure if Madison would need one...every time we told someone we were not going to the Canada side we got such a sad look, but we really liked the American side...below are some of our favorite photos...

It was a sunny day so Mommy came up with this ingenious way to shade Madison's eyes during her diaper change...

Here are our hosts for the three days we were up there...Aunt Sandi, Uncle Bob and from left to right...Marty, Comet and Joey...three great doggies.

We also enjoyed some time in their pool...that is Madison's "enjoying" face

There was a mall within walking distance of my Aunt and Uncle's house and Madison took her first ride on a carousel with Mommy who got quite dizzy actually!

One of the days was rainy in the morning so we headed to the Rochester Science Center which had some great hands on exhibits...Anna and I learned a lot.

Here Madison and I are looking into a video camera...

And here we are on the screen...it probably told us how this works, but we didn't read that...I prefer to continue thinking it is magic :-)

This is as far as Anna got across the rock climbing wall...she blamed the wrong shoes.

On the trip home Madison decided she was already a big girl.

  1. That looks like a way fun trip. I've never been to Niagra Falls so I'm no expert but you can SEE the Canadian side from the American side, so how can it be THAT different?

So Madison is a step ahead of Lily because she NEVER wanted to hold her bottle. We fed her her bottle until the day we weaned her.

You need to get sunglasses for Madison! Lily has some that are attached to a fabric strap that wraps around her head and velcros in back. She kind of hates them, but if it's sunny she hates the sun more and keeps them on.

  2. Unfortunately there is a secret part around the corner that you can only see from Canada...I didn't think it was that great when I went, but that was fifteen years ago and I wasn't easily impressed at 15...if you guys have the time over the Christmas break you should totally make a run up there...maybe we can convince my mom and dad to make it the secret trip :-)
